ZATO Fokino (popularly known as Tihas) – the only remaining closed city in Primorsky Krai. In 1980, village Tikhookeansky was renamed into the closed city Fokino with mailing address Shkotovo-17. The name came after the Pacific Fleet Commander Admiral Fokin. However, official documents confirming this fact, have not been published to date. The new name didn’t catch on by townspeople.
