Michael Wolf

Michael Wolf’s (1954) first solo exhibition in UK presents the work, in which artist tackles the complexity of city life through observations of how vernacular architecture and public space are used. The exhibition is constructed from several groups of work: Architecture of Density (a study of Hong Kong’s high rise residential development), Tokyo Compression (images of Tokyo subway commuters who are forcefully sandwiched in the cramped conditions of subway cars), and Transparent City (depiction of the architecture of both domestic and office buildings in the city of Chicago).
