Les Rencontres d’Arles photography festival

Les Rencontres d’Arles photography festival this year is focusing on black and white photography. By presenting entirely new creations from renowned artists, along with discoveries, treasures from the past and, of course, a few exceptions in colour, it aims to question what meaning does black and white photograph have today. Among other famous artists the festival features work of Hiroshi Sugimoto, Wolfgang Tillmans, Alfredo Jaar, Viviane Sassen, Pieter Hugo, John Stezaker, Erik Kessels Christina De Middel, Daido Moriyama, Guy Bourdin, Sergio Larraín and Jacques Henri Lartigue.
