Prophet
The photographs provide all the clues to an elusive and mysterious story without any narrative – it is an indirect and often quite a scary tale. The individual photographs, which were mostly taken in Norway and North America in 2014 and 2015, contribute to an ever-growing mood of uncertainty.
Geert Goiris (1971) is a Belgian photographer living in Antwerp. His work has been on display in solo and group shows at Foam in Amsterdam, Centre Pompidou in Paris and Bozar in Brussels among others. He has also published four photobooks.
