FK Artist – Ieva Balode

FK is starting a new series of video features – FK Artist, which will be a platform to introduce readership with various photographers and artists illuminating their style, subjects and interest in photography. The series are opened by Ieva Balode (1987), whose project Invisible Images early this year was offered for viewing in a solo show at the Office Gallery of the Latvian Centre for Contemporary Art. In spring the project was published by Lithuanian publishing house NoRoutine Books, but in May it was also issued in FK Yearbook Latvian Photography 2016. Balode is known as a passionate practitioner of analogue photography and film media, studying different image-making techniques, as well as curating experimental film screenings in Kino Bize.
