FK Artist – Kristīne Madjare
Kristīne Madjare (1987) is a Latvian photographer, who focuses on introvert communities and complicated life stories in her works. Exhibition Iekšzeme (Inland) about her native town Skrunda was offered for audiences at the Latvian Museum of Photography last year. Her latest works on Christian community, whose members undergo a treatment for addictions, will be exhibited at Neputns bookstore from 21 February. She has participated in group shows in Germany, Estonia and Latvia. In 2011 Madjare graduated from the Tartu Art College with a Bachelor’s degree in Photography. She has also had additional education at the Hannover University of Applied Sciences and Arts and the ISSP. She works as a photographer on a daily basis documenting various cultural events.
