FK Artist – Alexandra Soldatova
Aleksandra Soldatova (1983) is a Belarusian photographer, whose works were screened in the projection Facts and Clarifications as part of Riga Photomonth, which took place earlier this month. The series What My Dog Chewed offers still life compositions made of the objects that the photographer’s dog has chewed. In the previous projects, Soldatova was more eager to turn to the representation of the social reality of Belarus, for example, documenting the peculiar bus stops in the countryside landscape or the socializing of Minsk inhabitants at the artificial lakes. Soldatova has had solo shows in Belarus, Russia, Poland, Germany and Lithuania, and she has participated in more than 10 group shows.
