Tim Hetherington: Sleeping Soldiers
Tim Hetherington’s series Sleeping Soldiers is simultaneously a gentle and frightening story. The photographer wanted to reveal the soldiers how they must seem to their mothers: innocent, vulnerable. Still it is a portrait of the scars of war because, as Hetherington said, their sleep was often helped along by drugs. The exhibition is accompanied by Sebastian Junger’s new film Which Way Is The Front Line From Here? The Life and Time of Tim Hetherington. Tim Hetherington died almost two years ago, while covering the conflict in Libya.
