FK Artist – Andrei Liankevich
Andrei Liankevich (1981) is one of the most well-known photographers of Belarus, who mostly addresses historical and geopolitical issues in his works. For many years he has worked as a press photographer making reportages for The New York Times, Le Figaro, Newsweek, Die Zeit, Spiegel, GEO, and Vanity Fair. He has also had three books published entitled Fpcus on Belarus (2008), Pagan (2010) and Looking Into The Pre-God’s Eyes (2016). Liankevich has participated in more than 60 group exhibitions, but his solo show Pagan was exhibited in Riga in 2011 at kim? Contemporary Art Centre. Next to his creative work, Andrei is also one of the most active organizers of photography events in Belarus – he is teaching the emerging photographers, curating exhibitions and events on a regular basis, and for the fourth year in a row has been fulfilling the duties of the director of the Month of Photography in Minsk.
