FK Artist – Jānis Deinats

Jānis Deinats (1961) has obtained an actor’s education, but since 1989 he has been engaged in photography, creating portraits of the most visible and significant people in Latvian culture, art, business and politics. For more than 15 years, he has been developing personal projects focusing on the documentation of daily life. His works tend to be poetic, abstract, ironic, and painterly. He has had solo exhibitions at the Riga Art Space (2009), Cesis Art Festival (2011), twice during Riga Photomonth at the Art Station Dubulti (2018) and Daile Theater (2015), etc.
