Arnis Balčus: How AI sees Latvia?

Arnis Balčus is a photographer and artist, editor of FK magazine, head of Riga Photomonth and author of this year’s project Latvia via AI. This year’s Riga Photomonth consists of 31 exhibitions that are held in the Riga Photomonth gallery on Ģertrūdes Street 64 from May 1 to 31 – a new one every. All images are produced using AI image generators and the subjects are related to Latvia, its environment and society. In this project Arnis explores and reveals the ideas, stereotypes, ideology given to artificial intelligence by the inventors, as well as deconstructs Latvia’s self-image.
