The Garden of Earthly Delights

The project celebrates the glory of a human body in its long life floating between the earthly and the divine. It offers to view love affairs as a never-ending story, started by the first people, Adam and Eve, and replicated in every single love story ever after.

Through the archetypical imagery of the project the eternal essence of human sensuality is revealed. Again, like in the beginning of times, it leads us to epiphany and omniscience, even though outside Eden.

Sveta Kaverina is a visual artist based in Amsterdam. Sveta’s artistic practice revolves around themes of memories in their unreliability; personal loss; vague national identity and lack of credibility the world can offer to a human being in general.
