FK Artist – Kārlis Bergs

Kārlis Bergs (1990) is a Latvian photographer who has published two photobooks – Between the Lake and the Sea (2014) and Once a Dream Did Weave a Shade (2017). It must be mentioned that both books are handmade by sewing and gluing the sheets printed in the printing-house. In the first of the books Kārlis documented the everyday of fishermen in the village of Bērzciems, but the latest book is a reflection on the people’s passion for football.

Kārlis has studied photography at the School of Art Institute of Chicago and at the Brighton University. His works have also been published in Latvian Photography 2017.
