Sonia

The pictures of Sonia, the photographer’s partner, are the result of more than 20 years of life together. At the series it’s possible to observe how the relationship evolves through the years, the physical changes of Sonia, and the continuity of love and respect between them. At most of the portraits Sonia looks troughs the lens searching for the photographeŗ’s eyes, establishing an equal relation between them.

Gustavo Sagorsky (1975) was born in Argentina, but now lives and works in Jerusalem. He received his BFA and MFA from the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design in Jerusalem. Since 2008 he has been teaching in the Photography Department at Bezalel. His works has been exhibited in more than 15 solo exhibitions in several countries as U.S.A, Argentina, Israel, Latvia. Currently his solo show Sonia is on view at the Noorus gallery in Tartu, Estonia.
