FK Prize 2017 finalists announced
FK Magazine has selected ten Latvian photographers that will compete for the FK Prize on 9 May 6pm at the co-working space The Mill in Riga. They are Adelīna Darviņa, Annemarija Gulbe, Arta Kauliņa, Elizabete Ezergaile, Elīna Semane, Juris Zemītis, Laima Vainiņa, Santa Spīlberga, Toms Šķēle and Veronika Geida.
FK Prize is a contest for the emerging Latvian photographers taking place for the third time in a row. The 10 authors shortlisted for the finals will present their work, which will be assessed by the international jury – photo editor of Bird in Flight magazine Olga Osipova from Russia, associate editor and journalist at The Calvert Journal Liza Premiyak from England, as well as the editor-in-chief of FK Magazine and the director of Riga Photomonth Arnis Balčus. The jury and audience will provide their feedback on the work of photographers, and one winner will be selected. The winner will be awarded Sony camera, as well as his/her portfolio publication in the FK Magazine and Bird in Flight.
The event is part of Riga Photomonth 2017 programme.
